At Bouman Stichting, we recognize that food security extends beyond access to calories—true nourishment requires knowledge, skills, and resources to make healthy choices within cultural and economic contexts. Our comprehensive Nutrition Programs transform how individuals and families across the Netherlands understand, access, and prepare nutritious food, creating sustainable change that spans generations.
Operating in partnership with healthcare providers, schools, community centers, and agricultural organizations, our programs reach over 8,000 participants annually with evidence-based nutrition education, hands-on cooking instruction, and practical food literacy skills. We believe that when people understand the connection between food and wellbeing, they become empowered advocates for their own health and that of their communities.
